Dugan Lake Accessible Trail

The Dugan Lake Accessible Trail opened in May 2015 and was built in partnership between the Cariboo Regional District, the Williams Lake Indian Band, Northern Development Initiative Trust, Cariboo Chilcotin Beetle Action Coalition and the provincial government through the BC Community Recreation Program.

Approximately 1 km long and featuring a packed, crushed gravel surface, the trail travels along the shoreline of Dugan Lake, a popular fishing lake situated among rolling hills in a spruce-lodgepole pine forest. The site offers a BC Forest Service campsite and is a great spot for viewing wildlife.

The trail has a gentle grade, an accessible outhouse, accessible dock, three benches and a kiosk at the trailhead with information about the trail. An accessible dock on the low mobility trail can also allow visitors to cast a fishing line into the lake.

The Dugan Lake Accessible Trail is located approximately 24 km east of Williams Lake on theHorsefly LakeRoad, about 2.5 km past the junction of the Horsefly and Likely Roads. Ongoing management of the site is provided by Recreation Sites and Trails BC.
