100 Mile House, B.C. – As of Wednesday, March 7, the new Interlakes Branch of the Cariboo Regional District Library is officially open to the public. Business hours follow the same schedule as when the library was located in the Bridge Lake Elementary School – Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The new library branch is located at 7170 Levick Crescent in the Interlakes area. It is next door to the realty office at the area known as “The Corners” where the Rona store is located.
“I encourage the community to stop by the new library and see this beautiful new space. We’re also having a grand opening celebration in a few weeks and I hope many community members are able to attend,” comments Electoral Area L Director, Brian Coakley.
The grand opening is scheduled for March 24 at 1:30 p.m.
Coakley adds, “We did have some delays with the project that were beyond our control, so I’d like to thank the community for their patience. Once the community sees the new library, I hope they agree it was worth the wait.”
The Cariboo Regional District Library is an integrated public library system that currently provides library services to residents of the regional district through fifteen branch libraries.
