District of Wells: Pilot Residential Recycling Depot

The Cariboo Regional District and the District of Wells will be providing residential packaging and printed paper recycling access to residents in Wells and the surrounding areas during the fall of 2015. This program will pilot the use of a modified shipping container as a Depot, and if successful, will be used in other rural communities within the CRD.

The recyclables will be collected on behalf of Multi Material BC (MMBC), the stewardship agency responsible for the packaging and printed paper (PPP) program. As such the depot can only accept items included in the MMBC program. The Depot Recycling Guide is available at the side bar.

All MMBC Depots must be attended while open for collection; this is to insure only PPP is collected and that materials are sorted correctly. As such the hours of operation will be the only times the depot will be accessible.

Please complete the survey at the side bar to help determine the hours of operation for the Depot. The survey will close on September 15, 2015.

To sign up for electronic updates on the depot, including what the hours of operation will be, email talktrash@cariboord.ca with “Wells Recycling Depot” in the Subject line, or leave us your email address in the survey.
