The Tatlayoko Accessible Trail Network is located at the Tatlayoko Lake Community Park on the shores of picturesque Tatlayoko Lake. The trail network was developed as the pilot project for the Cariboo Regional District’s wheelchair accessible trails network and opened in August 2008.
The trails were built in partnership between the Cariboo Regional District, the Measuring Up the North program and the Tatlayoko Community Association.
The accessible trail network at Tatlayoko consists of 2 km of intersecting trails that traverse throughout the recreation site. The trails consist of mining conveyor belting, donated by Gibraltar Mines, which creates an exceptionally smooth trail surface. The recreation site also has an accessible outhouse and a picnic area.
Tatalyoko Lake is approximately 220 km west of Williams Lake and 30 km south of Tatla Lake on a well maintained gravel road.
Ongoing management of the site is provided by the Tatlayoko Community Association.
