CRD’s 100 Mile House Landfill Closure July 9-10, 2016
108 Mile Ranch, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) announced today that the 108 Mile Ranch Water System Upgrade assent vote (referendum) will be held on February 27, 2016 at the 108 Mile Community Hall. Advance polls will be held on Wednesday, February 17 at the South Cariboo Recreation Complex in 100 Mile House, and on February 22 at the 108 Mile Community Hall. Advance polling stations and general voting day polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Public Notice - Boil Water Advisory Removed for Russet Bluff Water System
Puntzi Lake, B.C. – Effective at 12 p.m. today, the remaining Evacuation Alert area for the Puntzi Lake fire has been rescinded. The Cariboo Regional District’s Local State of Emergency will expire today as well.
Evacuation Order Rescinded for Puntzi Lake Area Area remains under Evacuation Alert Puntzi Lake, B.C. – Effective immediately, residents from the Puntzi Lake area that were under Evacuation Order can return to their homes. This area will now be under an Evacuation Alert until further notice. See the attached map for the specific areas.
Friday, July 17, 2015 EOC – Likely Debris Flow – 15-02 Update on the Likely Debris Flow Likely, B.C. – The debris flow that occurred yesterday over Keithley Creek Road at Cariboo Lake near the town of Likely, BC, was the result of water being released from a lake above the debris site. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure expects to have the road open to single lane traffic this evening.
Puntzi Lake, B.C. – Effective Monday, July 13 at 1 p.m., residents on the southern shores of Puntzi Lake, including the Kokanee Bay Resort and all properties south, will be allowed to return to their properties. This area will remain on Evacuation Alert. Coordinates of the new Evacuation Alert and Evacuation Order areas are included on the attached map.
Next Steps for the North Cariboo Arena Replacement Project Design Drawings now complete Quesnel, B.C. – The North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee unanimously agreed to move forward to the next phase of the North Cariboo Arena Replacement Project based on a revised design developed by CEI Architecture. The decision was made at the April 14, 2015 Joint Planning Committee meeting after a revised plan and project costing were presented to the Committee by CEI Architecture and project management firm MKT Development Group. The revised design has resulted in a reduction of $3.5 million in estimated project costs compared to the quantity survey estimate provided by a cost consultant in February. The estimated project cost is now $18.75 million, which includes a building construction cost of $13.7 million plus site development and design costs.
